Alishan Oolong Tea is one of Taiwan’s most renowned teas, and we also regard Alishan High Mountain Tea as the perfect beginner’s choice.

Alishan tea has a floral aroma with a rich aftertaste and a sweet lingering finish. It is also known for its ability to withstand multiple infusions.

♦ Price Range: 150g = 300 NTD

♦ Brewing Method: Place about 5g of tea leaves into a teapot, pour 100cc of hot water (95-100°C), and steep. The infusion time for the first to third steeps is about 90 seconds. For the fourth steep and beyond, increase the time by 20 seconds. It can be brewed for about eight times.

Aromatic Alishan Tea

Alishan High Mountain Tea: The name of Taiwan’s high mountain tea comes from Li Shan farmer Chen Jindi, who used to supply tea to former President Chiang Kai-shek every year. During his leisure time, Chen introduced tea seedlings from Dong Ding to cultivate and produce tea at an altitude of 2,500 meters. Initially, the tea didn’t have a name, as the tea seedlings were of different varieties, but since they were all grown in high mountains, it was named “High Mountain Tea.” Alishan tea is the ancestor of Taiwan’s high mountain oolong tea.
