Description
The name “Taiwan High Mountain Tea” comes from Lishan farmer Chen Jindi, who used to supply tea to former President Chiang Kai-shek every year. In his spare time, he introduced tea seedlings from Dong Ding and planted them at an altitude of 2500 meters to cultivate and process the tea. Initially, the tea did not have a name, as the seedlings used were of different varieties, but they were all planted in the mountains, so the tea was named “High Mountain Tea.”
